Then and now: Valentine's Day cards

Like a lot of couples, Hubby and I have always exchanged cards on Valentine's Day. In the last few years, I've noticed a change in the types we (especially I) buy. It's not a bad change. I just don't always feel the need to buy such serious cards anymore. The Valentine's cards I used to buy always used to look something like this:

Nothing has changed since then. He's still my favorite person on the planet and all that stuff, but this year I just really didn't feel like buying a card like that. So I bought this one instead:

They basically say the same thing, right?
